Honest Club is run by Andrew Tolentino, DBA Honest Club (“I,” “me”) in San Francisco, California. This policy covers honestclub.co and the coaching I offer through it. The short version: I collect only what I need to coach you and stay in touch, I don’t sell it, and I don’t use it for advertising.
1What I collect
Your name and email address, when you book a call, buy coaching, join the Honest Sessions list, or email me. When you book a call, the booking form may also ask what you’d like to talk about, and you choose what to share there.
Payment details, when you buy coaching. You enter them on Stripe’s checkout page, not on this site. I see your name, email, billing details Stripe shows me, and what you bought. I never see or store your full card or bank account number.
Anything you choose to tell me by email, text, or in a session.
Basic technical data. Like any website, the server that delivers these pages receives your IP address and browser details when you visit. I don’t run analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
2How I use it
To schedule and hold sessions, take payment and send receipts, reply when you write to me, send the Honest Sessions emails you signed up for, keep the records the law requires (such as for taxes), and keep the site running and secure. I don’t sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to a mailing list you didn’t ask to join.
3Services that handle it
I use a few trusted services to run Honest Club. Each receives only what it needs to do its job and handles it under its own privacy policy:
- Cal.com for booking. It receives your name, email, chosen time, and anything you write on the booking form. Cal.com privacy policy
- Stripe for payments, receipts, and Monthly Coaching billing. Stripe privacy policy
- Zoom for video sessions, or Google Meet as a backup. Zoom privacy statement · Google privacy policy
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) for the Honest Sessions email list. It receives your email address when you sign up. Kit privacy policy
- My email provider and web host, which store messages you send me and deliver this site.
Apart from these services, I share your information only if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety (see Section 5), or with your permission. Some of these services store data in the United States. If you’re outside the U.S., your information will be processed there.
5Our coaching conversations
What you share in coaching is covered by the confidentiality terms in the coaching agreement: it stays between us except in the narrow cases listed there. Sessions aren’t recorded, including by AI note-takers, unless we both agree. Any notes I keep are only for coaching you.
Coaching isn’t healthcare, so health information you mention isn’t protected by HIPAA the way it is with a doctor or therapist. Share what you’re comfortable sharing. I’ll treat it with the same care either way.
6How long I keep it
Your Honest Sessions signup stays until you unsubscribe. Client records, including payment records, stay as long as needed to coach you and for as long afterward as tax and business law requires. Everything else I delete once it’s no longer useful, or sooner if you ask.
7Your choices & rights
Email andrew@honestclub.co any time to see the information I hold about you, correct it, get a copy, or have it deleted. I’ll reply within thirty (30) days. I may need to keep some records, such as payment history, where the law requires it, and I’ll tell you if so. Every Honest Sessions email has an unsubscribe link.
These choices apply wherever you live. If you’re in California, the EU, the UK, or anywhere else with privacy laws that give you more rights, you have those rights too, including the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Where those laws ask for a legal basis, I rely on what’s needed to deliver the coaching you bought, on your consent for the email list, and on my legitimate interest in replying to you and running a small business. I won’t treat you differently for using any of these rights.
8Everything else
Security
I use reputable services built to protect data, I’m the only person at Honest Club with access to it, and I keep only what I need. No system is perfect, though. If a breach ever affects your information, I’ll tell you promptly.
Age
Honest Club is for adults. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen, and I’ll delete it if I learn I have.
Other sites
Links to other sites, such as Instagram or the resources I recommend, lead to places with their own privacy practices.
Changes
If this policy changes, I’ll update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how I use information I already have, I’ll tell clients and subscribers by email first.
